What we collect in Eastcote

Eastcote is classic Metroland: streets of 1930s semis and bungalows that grew up around the tube line, with the Field End Road parades by Eastcote station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. Most of our HA5 rubbish comes out of family homes like those — three-bed semis with garages holding a decade of storage and lofts that have not been opened since the last move.

Loading is usually easy here, because most roads have driveways. The exception is around the station and the Field End Road shops, where there are yellow lines and short-stay bays, so for a flat above a parade we find the closest legal stop before we arrive and keep the time on the street short. Household rubbish, furniture, appliances, garden waste and DIY waste go in together, and we do the carrying.

We are a short run from our Uxbridge base and work 7am to 10pm, seven days a week including bank holidays, so same-day collection in HA5 is normal. Loads are priced by the space they fill — a minimum load is £95, a half load £320, a full Luton £495 — and the price is fixed from a photo before we set off.

Hillingdon Council’s bulky collection covers HA5 at £53 a slot, £39 if you are over 65 and £94 for landlords, with up to six items in a slot. The catch in a Metroland semi is the stairs: every item has to be at your boundary, at ground-floor level, by 6am, because the crew will not come in. Building and DIY waste, garden waste, rubble, tyres and hazardous items are refused, and collections run Monday to Friday on the next free date. For a few items you can carry out yourself it is the cheaper route, and we will say so — the item list is in our Hillingdon bulky waste guide.

The tip for Eastcote is the Harefield Civic Amenity Site on New Years Green Lane in Harefield (UB9 6LX). There is no booking for cars, but you need a HillingdonFirst card at the gate; vans and trailers need two forms of ID and are held to 12 visits a year. It is open seven days, 8am to 4pm with last entry at 3.45pm, and weekends between 10am and 2pm are the busiest — the council asks drivers not to turn right into New Years Green Lane from Harvil Road, where the junction backs up. Our Harefield tip guide has the rest.

Commercial, office and trade waste removal in Eastcote

We clear trade waste from the Field End Road parades as well — shop and office clear-outs, end-of-tenancy loads from the flats above, and end-of-job waste for builders and fitters working on HA5 semis. Priced by volume like household loads, with a waste transfer note on request.

What we collect covers most non-hazardous streams: general and mixed waste, office and commercial furniture, retail fixtures and fittings, timber and pallets, cardboard and packaging, flooring and carpet, plasterboard and light rubble, and end-of-life household items. There are a few things a man and van cannot legally carry loose — hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste, gas bottles and tyres — but tell us what you have and we will either handle it correctly or point you to the right specialist. Fridges, freezers and larger appliances are fine with a little notice so we dispose of them the proper way.

Rubbish removal in Eastcote — your questions answered

Can you collect from a flat above the Field End Road shops? expand_more

Yes. Parking by the parades is short-stay and yellow-lined in places, so we plan the nearest legal loading spot in advance and keep the van on the street for as little time as possible. Tell us the address when you book.

Is the council bulky collection cheaper in Eastcote? expand_more

For a few ordinary items you can get to your boundary by 6am, yes: £53 a slot or £39 if you are over 65, for up to six items. It is no help if the items are upstairs, if there are more than six, or if there is building or garden waste in the pile.

Can you clear a loft in a 1930s semi? expand_more

Yes. The crew brings everything down through the house and out to the van, protecting the banisters and door frames on the way, and the load is priced by the space it fills. A photo taken from the hatch is usually enough for a fixed price.

Do you take garden rubbish in the same load? expand_more

Yes. Garden waste after a landscaping weekend, a garage clear-out and a few pieces of furniture can all go in one load, priced on the space it fills. We carry it out through the side gate where there is one, so it does not come through the house.

How soon can you get to HA5? expand_more

Usually the same day. Eastcote is a short run from our Uxbridge base and we work 7am to 10pm, seven days a week including bank holidays.

Where we collect rubbish near Eastcote

We are based in Uxbridge (UB8) and cover Eastcote seven days a week. As well as HA5 we work across Ruislip, Pinner, Northwood, Ickenham and Hillingdon, and out to Rayners Lane.

No surprise bills

What the price includes — and what it doesn't

The most common complaint about clearance companies is a price that grows once the van is loaded. So here is the whole of ours, before you book, including the parts that cost extra.

Included in the price we quote

No line of this is billed separately afterwards.

  • Labour — the crew, the carrying and the loading.
  • The van, the fuel, ULEZ and the congestion charge — London charges are ours, not yours.
  • Disposal and recycling of the load — the tipping cost is inside the price.
  • Access from anywhere on the property — any room, up or down stairs, or out of the garden.
  • VAT — the price you are shown is the price you pay.
  • Waste transfer paperwork for your load, on request — so your duty of care is documented.

Priced separately, or not carried at all

Told to you up front, never discovered on the invoice.

  • Upholstered seating and mattresses carry their own disposal fee, because the law forces them down a more expensive route than the rest of your load. The amount is on our pricing page before you book.
  • Hazardous items — paint, chemicals, asbestos, tyres and gas bottles cannot travel in a general load and need a specialist route. We will tell you which one.
  • Fridges, freezers and electricals have a separate WEEE route — flag them when you book so we arrive with the right van.
  • Anything flammable, explosive, illegal, or alive — we cannot carry it, and we will say so before the day.

If there turns out to be more than we quoted for, you hear the new price before anything goes in the van — not once it is loaded, and not on the invoice. The same goes for access: tell us when you book if your street is permit-only or on a red route, or if the job is above the third floor with no lift, and we plan for it instead of pricing round it on the day.

Where it actually goes

What happens to your waste after we drive away

Most clearance companies stop this story at the word "recycled". Here is the actual route your load takes, including the part of it that nobody advertises.

  1. It goes in by hand

Everything is carried out and loaded by the crew — from the room, the garden or the kerbside. What is in the load matters, because what is in it decides where it is legally allowed to go.

  2. Sorted, not buried

The load goes to a licensed transfer station or recycling centre, where it is separated by material. It is not tipped straight into a hole in the ground.

  3. Recovered by material

Metal, wood, cardboard, textiles and electricals are pulled out for recycling or recovery. Green waste is composted.

  4. The bit nobody advertises

Upholstered furniture cannot be recycled at all. Since January 2023 the Environment Agency presumes every domestic sofa, armchair and padded dining chair contains persistent organic pollutants, so it must be kept apart from other waste and incinerated — never landfilled, never shredded for reuse. That law, not a markup, is why soft seating carries its own fee. Whatever is genuinely left after sorting goes to energy recovery.

  • Metal
  • Wood
  • Cardboard & paper
  • Textiles
  • Electricals (WEEE)
  • Green waste

We do not publish a recycling percentage. You will see "90% diverted from landfill" on a lot of clearance websites. The sorting happens at the transfer station, after our van has left, and we are not going to take credit for a figure we cannot evidence. What we can give you is the route your load takes and the paperwork for it — and if you want to check who handles it, ask us to identify the registered carrier for your collection and verify them on the Environment Agency public register before we load.

Proof

Proof, not adjectives

Anyone can type "trusted" and "reliable" onto a website. These are the things about us you can actually check.

We are a small London crew, not a national booking platform, and we are not going to pretend otherwise: we have 27 five-star reviews on Google and 3 on Yell. That is all of them. Every one is public, unedited and one tap away — which is worth rather more than a five-figure review count you have no way of reading.
