Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Van Thats Quick ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website or book our man and van, delivery, and rubbish & waste removal services. We are the data controller for the information we collect. If you have any questions, contact us at info@vanthatsquick.co.uk or 07400 640002.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use the site:

  • Details you provide — when you request a quote or contact us: your name, phone number, email address, collection and delivery addresses or postcodes, preferred date, and any details you share about the job.
  • Communications — the content of messages, emails, WhatsApp messages and calls between you and us.
  • Automatic data — your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you reached and used the site, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide you with a quote;
  • To arrange, carry out and manage the services you book;
  • To contact you about your job and provide customer support;
  • To take payment and keep business records;
  • To measure and improve our website and marketing (including advertising measurement);
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Call recording

We may record telephone calls between you and us. We do this to confirm the details of the jobs you ask us to carry out, to maintain an accurate record of quotes and bookings, to train and monitor the quality of our service, and to help resolve any query or dispute. Recording calls for these business purposes is our legitimate interest. Recordings are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and are then securely deleted; they are treated as confidential and are not shared beyond the purposes set out in this policy. If you would prefer a call not to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call and we will make a note of your request or continue by message instead. You may also ask for a copy of, or the deletion of, a recording of your own call — see Your rights below.

Our lawful bases

Under UK GDPR we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver services you request); legitimate interests (to run and improve our business, respond to enquiries, and record calls for the purposes described above); consent (for non-essential cookies and analytics/advertising — which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (where the law requires us to keep records).

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics and advertising measurement. This includes Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless), Microsoft Clarity and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. Full details, and how to control them, are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

  • Google (Analytics), Cloudflare (Web Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) — website analytics;
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API;
  • Email and hosting providers (including Resend and Cloudflare) — to deliver enquiry emails and host the website;
  • Professional advisers or authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent approved mechanisms.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer information only for as long as needed to provide our services, meet our legal obligations (for example tax and accounting records), and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@vanthatsquick.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your information.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Personal data used for advertising measurement is hashed before it is shared, and sensitive payment details are handled by secure providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
