House Clearance & Man and Van in Farnham Common (SL2)

Farnham Common produces a very particular kind of clearance work. A leafy commuter village of around 6,000 people strung along the A355 — three miles north of Slough, three south of Beaconsfield, within the civil parish of Farnham Royal — it's a place where homes are held for decades and gardens are generous. The tip situation is genuinely local — and genuinely awkward. The Burnham recycling centre on Crowpiece Lane, SL2 3TG shares Farnham Common's postcode area and sits minutes away off the A355 corridor, but it's closed every Wednesday and Thursday, opening the other five days (9am–6pm summer, 9am–4pm winter). Buckinghamshire Council's bulky waste service is the other comparison point: £65 for 1–3 items, £130 for 4–6, £195 for 7–9, nine items maximum, everything left outside the property by 6am. That works for a mattress or two; it doesn't work for a four-bed clearance, anything that needs carrying downstairs, or an estate where the executor wants documents and valuables set aside first. Getting here is the easy part. Farnham Common has no station of its own — residents drive to Burnham or Slough for the Elizabeth line, or to Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield for the Chiltern line — so vans do the heavy lifting, and the A355 puts us straight into the village.
