The reason we price builders' waste by weight rather than by the space it fills is simple physics. A wheelbarrow of rubble or a bulk bag of soil weighs a huge amount for its size, and the licensed transfer stations that take it charge by the tonne. Pricing by weight means a small pile of dense rubble is not billed as if it were a full van of light packaging, and a van that looks half-empty but is loaded with concrete is priced honestly. When you send a photo we estimate the tonnage, quote a fixed price from the band that fits, and confirm it on the day. Heavy, dense loads are exactly where an experienced crew and the right van matter — overload a vehicle and it is neither legal nor safe.
For trade customers the paperwork matters as much as the muscle. Every business has a legal duty of care to make sure its waste is handled by a registered carrier and disposed of properly, and to keep the records that prove it. On every job we provide a waste transfer note detailing what was collected and where it went, so builders, developers, kitchen fitters and landlords have the documentation to satisfy that duty of care. We are happy to take mixed loads too — rubble alongside timber, plasterboard and general site waste — and we separate plasterboard from inert rubble because it has to be handled differently at the tip. Do you take rubble, soil and plasterboard?
Yes — rubble, soil, hardcore, bricks, tiles, broken concrete, timber and plasterboard are all fine, including mixed loads. Plasterboard has to be separated from inert rubble because it is handled differently at the transfer station, so just let us know it's in the load and we'll sort it correctly.
