Cheaper and faster than council bulky waste collection
Most London councils do run a bulky waste collection service, but it rarely fits real life. Booking a slot often means waiting one to three weeks for the next available date, and many boroughs cap how many items they will take per visit — typically three to five — so a full front room of old furniture becomes two or three separate bookings. On top of that, almost every council makes you carry the items out yourself and leave them at the boundary or kerbside by a set time on the morning of collection, which is no help at all if you live upstairs, have a bad back, or the sofa will not fit down the stairwell on your own.
We work the opposite way: door-to-door, same or next day, and we do the lifting. Instead of dragging a mattress down three flights and leaving it in the rain for a week, you point at it and our two-person crew carries it out from wherever it sits — bedroom, loft, back garden or lock-up garage. There is no item limit to work around and no fixed collection window to be home for; we give you a time slot that suits you. For a single item the minimum charge is from £85, and because we price by the space your load fills, clearing several bulky pieces in one visit usually works out cheaper and far quicker than repeat council trips.

A single bulky item starts from £85, which is our minimum charge and covers collection and disposal of one item such as a sofa, mattress or appliance. Larger loads are priced by volume — a quarter van from £245, a half van from £360 and a full Luton van from £655. Is it cheaper than the council?
For most jobs it works out better value once you factor in the wait, the item limits and the effort. Councils typically make you wait one to three weeks, cap the number of items per collection, and leave you to drag everything to the kerb yourself. We collect same or next day, take as many items as you have in one visit, and carry them out for you. Because we price by the space your load fills, clearing several bulky pieces at once is usually cheaper and much faster than repeat council bookings.
