Rubbish Removal & Man and Van in Harmondsworth (UB7)

Harmondsworth, Sipson and Harlington sit right on Heathrow's northern boundary, and they're a place of two halves. The old village cores are genuinely historic — Harmondsworth's conservation area takes in St Mary's church, the green and the Great Barn, the largest intact medieval timber-framed barn in England, built 1426–27 and famously called the "cathedral of Middlesex". A few hundred metres south, the A4 Bath Road is all airport hotels, guest houses and logistics yards. The council route has real friction in UB7. Hillingdon's only public tip is the Harefield Civic Amenity Site on New Years Green Lane (UB9) — a 20-minute drive with no traffic, resident-only with a HillingdonFirst card, and if you turn up in a van you need two forms of ID and are capped at a dozen visits a year. The council's own bulky-waste service takes up to six items on a weekday slot for £53, but won't take fridges or freezers. The Bath Road corridor keeps us busy in a different way. Hotels and guest houses turn over furniture and mattresses in bulk, trade units accumulate packaging and fit-out waste, and managers need it gone without a skip sitting on the forecourt. We run one-off and scheduled commercial waste collections along the strip with written collection records, and we can work early or late to miss check-in hours.

There's also the runway question. In November 2025 the Government backed Heathrow's north-west runway plan, which as drafted would take Longford and a large slice of Harmondsworth, with Sipson hard on the boundary — construction is still years away, but the uncertainty already drives churn: landlords selling up, tenants moving on, and homes being cleared after decades in the same family.
